The Moai of Easter Island. To me, the Moai statue stands symbol for all mythical, intriguing, and remote places in this world. Places one often can't visit in person, but one often can by amateur radio.

About Me

Michael PA7MDJ. Located in the southwestern part of the Netherlands. Shortwave listener during the 1980s and 90s. Licenced radio amateur since 2012. Started out with the Novice licence and callsign PD7MDJ. Upgraded to Full licence and callsign PA7MDJ in April 2015. Using modest amateur radio equipment; simple wire antennas for HF and a power of 100 Watts or less. This makes it quite a challenge sometimes, but that's what amateur radio is all about.
